The Windmill Family Office maintains a public record of Research, Published Thinking and selected historical material relevant to the development of its institutional Knowledge.
The record distinguishes between Research undertaken, commissioned, compiled or formally adopted for institutional purposes; current work published by the Principal in his individual capacity; and earlier publications retained as part of the historical development of that thinking.
This distinction preserves provenance. Publication on this website does not, by itself, make a document current Windmill Family Office policy or institutional doctrine.

Research undertaken, commissioned, compiled or developed for WFO purposes using WFO resources, or formally adopted for institutional reference.
Institutional Research is attributable to the Windmill Family Office. External authors or contributors remain identified where applicable.
Published Thinking
Selected current writing by Steven Windmill, published in his individual capacity, where it contributes materially to the intellectual environment within which the Office operates.
Inclusion records relevance. It does not convert individual writing into WFO policy.
Historical Archive
Earlier publications are preserved as part of the historical record of Steven Windmill's professional and intellectual work. They were produced at different times, for different audiences and in different professional contexts.

PROVENANCE & MIXED ATTRIBUTION
Every publication associated with WFO should make clear who produced it, in what capacity, when, and whether it is Institutional Research, individual Published Thinking or historical material.
Where provenance is mixed, WFO preserves both individual authorship and institutional provenance rather than forcing a false single attribution. A paper may, for example, identify Steven Windmill as research lead or author while recording that it was developed using Windmill family or WFO resources and subsequently accepted by WFO for Institutional Research.
Institutional adoption establishes the status of the work within WFO. It does not retrospectively alter authorship and does not by itself transfer or create Intellectual Property ownership.
CURRENT WFO POSITION
Current WFO positions should be determined from the Office's current Governance, Stewardship, Investment Governance, Investment Criteria, Six Capitals and other expressly identified institutional material, rather than inferred from an earlier personal publication.

Identification or analysis of an external institution as a subject of WFO Research does not imply affiliation, endorsement, peer status, partnership or other relationship with that institution.
