Advice on financial, institutional, operating and governance matters affecting family members and shared family interests.

Internal capital

Internal financial arrangements

Internal arrangements intended to support family resilience, enterprise and long-term independence, subject to purpose, affordability and recoverability.

Assets

Shared stewardship

Coordination of the shared use, maintenance and responsible administration of family assets where collective stewardship is appropriate.

Assessment

Investment propositions

Development and assessment of investment and financing propositions affecting family interests, with decisions tested against governance, alignment, timing, evidence and recoverability.

Governance

Reporting and authority

Maintenance of family reporting, delegated authority, records and succession arrangements intended to support continuity across generations.

Relationships

Institutional engagement

Long-term relationships with private banks, lenders, professional advisers and other institutional counterparties where relevant to family affairs.

Separate mandates, separately contracted.

Members of the Office may undertake project leadership, programme management, chair, chief executive and board mandates for third parties under distinct contractual arrangements.

Such engagements are separate from the Office’s stewardship of family capital and do not constitute management of third-party money by the Windmill Family Office.
